One cleaver has a three rivet handle and a blade stamped "9," "SIMCO," "U. S. A.," and "WARRANTED." Another has a three rivet handle with a hanging hole in the blade. A third has a single rivet handle with a bolster cap. The fourth has a turned and ringed handle with a hanging hole in the blade. All blades show surface rust, patina, and wear from use. It features a raised and nicely painted foxglove motif

There are several shallow chips around the coating of the opening from removing and replacing the lid over the years
