Antique Silver Thimble with Purple Amethyst Glass Top No 9 with Shield and FlowersThis is an original antique silver thimble. It has a shield on the front and flowers around the bottom. It has a purple amethyst glass top. This top has a small chip on the side corner as photographed. Other than that, It is in great condition and would be a nice addition to a collection. I am pretty sure it is sterling silver but I do not see a hallmark or makers mark on it. I think it is a size 9 thimble.
The scales measure 7 inches in length
They are made of heavy brass and measure 10 1/4 inches or 26 cm in height and 4 1/2 inches or 11
It has a couple of small chips in the paint around the corners as photographed
