Payne Model 101 Bamboo Rod 7'6" 2/2 #5For sale here is a stunner from the 1960s Jim Payne rod shop and retailed through A&F, this 7 1 2' 2 2 Model 101 is in excellent completely original condition. The reel seat bears both the Payne trademark and the Made for Abercrombie and Fitch stamps. The 101 is one of Jim Paynes faster tapers, commanding a 5 wt. with a fluid authority. There is a small, shallow indentation in the Spanish cedar spacer and the cork grip has coloration from careful use.
The plastic is still on the grip and the guides have no sign of any brassing

with line and backing
The reel has some use marks from honest fishing
