Payne Model 198 Bamboo Rod 7'6" 3/2 #5For sale here is a Payne Model 198 bamboo rod in excellent original condition. 7'6 3 2 for a 5 weight line. Dave Holloman era rod. The rod weighs 3 3 8 oz. Slights marks to reel seat spacer. Original bag and tube with label in very fine shape.
Clear wraps with tiny edges of black
with a riveted (and not screwed) foot
The rod bag is a gray olive color and the rod tube is painted brown with a heavy brass collar and top
Nickel silver line guide
Includes original neoprene case and original box with the manual and wrench

This rod has a pleasant medium action
It was made in 1973 and has ruby wraps with black signature wraps and tipping at HK
Comes with its original ATH Design reel case as well as like-new condition fly line and backing
