Sardine Gyotaku Print Blue and Gold

Sardine Gyotaku Print Blue and GoldSardines make a lovely print. However they are pretty tricky to deal with. They easily split open and leak oil over the print so getting the pressure right is important. The print is blue and green largely with a bit of iridescent gold. I have used premium quality acrylic ink. The fish eye is hand painted after printing. It is signed by myself, Jane Evans as well as using my hanko stamp, the traditional method of marking artwork in Japan. This A4

the paper is then mounted using the traditional wet mounting technique of Uruachi

then I put ink onto it

Printed on fine Chinese xuan paper

The frame will be supplied rolled in a poster tube protected by PH neutral tissue paper
