Dark impregnated cane, beautiful and classic Phillipson wraps brown tipped yellow, cigar grip, downlocking anodized copper and gold reel seat. Medium fast action. Excellent + condition and was restored by Russ Peak! Original bag and tube.
Original rod bag and aluminum tube with brass top and bottom
Blued nickel silver cap and ring reel seat over a mortised cork spacer
The click is still nice and strong and can be fished right or left hand retrieve
It is in mint unfished condition
not unusual for a Leonard rod
The agate line guide has two hairline cracks
The rod has received an overcoat of varnish at some point and the varnish remains in very good condition with a few soft spots and bag marks
The rod is in excellent condition and appears to be original
The reel has a very smooth fixed click and is definitely a very fishable old classic
"The Catskill Legend" is engraved on the sliding band
