Allcock’s Aerial 4 ½” ReelAn early example (1915 25) of Allcocks of Redditch famed Aerial reel. This is the model 7950 T3. A 12 spoke spool with caliper check, ventilated spool, hollow spindles and brass foot. Solid aluminium back plate with optional check. Xylonite handles may be replacements but they are in fine condition. The rod comes with two different tips

and downlocking anodized aluminum reel seat

with very minor soiling

so I am guessing the chip occurred from handling over the years
