Hardy Bougle Commemorative 1903 Limited Edition Fly ReelFor sale here is a Hardy Bougle Limited Edition fly reel commemorating the 1903 Hardy Bougle model. Mint condition, never lined. These reels were all made in England. This particular reel was made by I. W. Evans of Hardy Bros. as can be seen by his initials, IWE. This is serial #266.
One tip-top has been replaced with a very good match
This monstrous braking system will subdue the strongest fish in the harshest conditions
The reel and spool have edge wear to the leaded finish
The rod is in near mint condition and appears to have only been lawn cast
The reel seat cap & ring was made from N/S thimble-like cups that also came from Thomas
Adjustable Click/Pawl drag system
These reels were made in England by Hardy
A very scarce wide spool Model 44B
The rod is in excellent condition
The #3S spool holds WF8+275yds 30#
The reel foot is original and full-length
The diameter is 3" with a spool width of 5/8"
