Blue Bark Small BowlFor gatherings, fill this textured blue ceramic bowl with crackers, candy, snacks, cookies, small side dishes of pilafs, couscous and more. After throwing this bowl on the wheel, I painted cobalt coloured slip all over the surface, into which I carved a bark texture. Once fired in an electric kiln, I dipped it in a clear glaze for durability and shine.

I hand-painted the glaze two-thirds of the way down the form to allow the the speckles within the clay to show
