Regency Canterbury or Magazine StandAn interesting late Georgian early Regency mahogany canterbury or magazine rack, England, circa 1800. We like the unusual faux bamboo and black highlighted details, the rich patination and beautiful colour of the mahogany, and a most delightful original brass knob with tiny lyre decoration in the middle. This or an identical canterbury was illustrated in the 1991 Mallett catalogue 'English and Continental Antique Furniture and Objets d'Art', p. 23
