The wine starts off slowly and subtly

with 13% alcohol and good freshness

The 2012s from Diamond Creek represent an homage to founder Al Brounstein and the winery’s 40th anniversary

all wrapped in a firm and moderately robust finish underpinned by firm tannins and beautiful persistence

This will live for decades and need at least 10 to 15 to be approachable with pleasure

The still very firm and backward middle weight plus flavors possess both excellent mid-palate density and plenty of minerality that carries over to the hugely long finish that is impeccably well-balanced

Both 2013s are clearly the finest Eisele wines made under the administration of François Pinault and his top lieutenant

The acidity seems reasonable but on the lower side

simply put

11% Cabernet Franc and 8% Petit Verdot

This is the epitome of power without weight as it packs a massive punch yet seems completely effortless while doing so

This concentrated effort is very Chambolle in basic character
