There are a few nicks here and there from honest use but nothing troublesome. Mechanically the reel is flawless. Left hand retrieve, rarely seen. The spool is in excellent+ used condition. The reel includes the original suede bag and original care and instruction sheet. The spare spool comes with a replacement canvas bag. Don't miss out on this terrific set

This is a lightly used 1950's era rod and one of the nicest Payne rods I have seen in a while
perfect for Western waters or throwing large green drakes on the Delaware

The tips are mirrored in my usual fashion
The rod shows very modest use with light grip soiling
Node spacing and temper color are intended to replicate that of Payne
