This is not a Screen Print (3 Layer Gyotaku of Sea Bass Heads)The sea bass is my favourite fish to print and probably to eat too. I'm based here on the beautiful Island of Anglesey surround by water, home to many sea bass. The bass I used for this print is supplied by a local fisherman with a licence to fish bass commercially. He catches all his bass on line and supplies many local restaurants. For this print I decided to use a different approach. Using three acrylic ink colours, instead of simply blending them

Presented in a recycled frame measuring 89 x 68 cm

Printed in deep blue and metallic gold acrylic ink on handmade Thai mulberry paper

This A4 print is on Mulberry paper and has been mounted using the authentic Japanese wet mounting technique which uses a simple flour and water paste and requires a period of around 24 hours to dry and stretch

heightened by the handmade Thai Mulberry paper and layered Masa paper backing

I've printed the same prawn here twice

I applied it using the same Urauchi method
